Dr. Buckman is an Assistant Professor of Real Estate and Urban Planning at Clemson University and a partner with Design Strategies and Development consulting. His work is centered on resilient scenario planning to help communities and developers deal with climate change. Presently Dr. Buckman is engaged in research that examines how real estate developers, now that their underwriters are demanding it, are making their developments more resilient and sustainable in the face of climate change in Charleston SC.
