Transforming University Engagement In Pre- and Post-Disaster Environments: Lessons from Puerto Rico
Dan Cotter is the Principal Director of the Office of Science and Engineering in the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In this role, he leads the identification and development of technology solutions, in support of S&T programs, DHS Components and the Homeland Security Enterprise. Prior to joining the Science and Technology Directorate in 2012, Mr. Cotter served as the DHS Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dan is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He holds a M.B.A. from Texas A&M University, M.S. in Geographic and Cartographic Sciences from George Mason University and a B.S in Hydrology from the University of Arizona.
