Miguel A. Cruz, PhD, MPH, from the Emergency Management Section at the National Center for Environmental Health, CDC, is a seasoned disaster practitioner and emergency responder. In 2017, Dr. Cruz led the federal public health teams supporting the public health local responses to hurricanes Irma and Maria in PR and US Virgin Islands. He is currently assigned to the PR Department of Health to provide support in Public Health Emergency Management.
