Transforming University Engagement In Pre- and Post-Disaster Environments: Lessons from Puerto Rico

Megan manages the Critical Microgrids Program at RMI, a multiyear initiative seeking to improve energy resilience by fostering the development and financing of renewable, community-oriented microgrids. She also provides technical oversight and stakeholder management for RMI's work in Bermuda, working with the Government of Bermuda to implement solar PV on a larger scale. Before joining RMI, Megan worked in an engineering and program management capacity for various Bay Area, California, solar companies, including overseeing a national solar quality assurance program with Sunrun. In 2015, Megan started Solar Stewards, serving as a head engineer for a microgrid development and financing startup operating in Haiti. She has also provided management and technical oversight for the funding, design, and installation of solar and micro-hydropower projects in Thailand and Burma. Megan holds a Master of Science in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelors in physics from Bard College.
