Transforming University Engagement In Pre- and Post-Disaster Environments: Lessons from Puerto Rico
Dr. Valerie Luzadis currently holds the position of Professor of Social-Ecological Systems and Ecological Economics at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of National Council for Science and the Environment (NCSE), to become Chair January 2020. Luzadis has served as Interim Provost and Executive Vice President, Associate Provost, Assistant Provost, and Chair of the Department of Environmental Studies at ESF and is a past President of the United States Society for Ecological Economics. Her scholarly focus is on systems approaches to social-ecological foundations for conservation and sustainability and the practice of collaborative interdisciplinary efforts to bring science into policy.
