Has a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico (PCUPR). Also completed a master's degree in Marine Sciences in Chemical Oceanography from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus.  She is currently an Instructor in the Department of Biology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and the Activity Director of Title V-PAS (Pathways to Academic Success) Project, where she assists in the development of faculty training and implementation of Universal Design for Learning, which aims to reduce barriers to learning by designing inclusive environments. She is an advisor of the TriBeta Biological Honor Society, Zeta Delta Chapter and Leader of the Tears Foundation, Puerto Rico Chapter.  She has previously worked as a Science and Mathematics educator in different institutions and proposals such as Sylvan Learning Center (Ponce, PR), Science on Wheels Learning Center at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus and the Math/Science Center in Montgomery College, Maryland.
