Andrea Webster is the implementation manager at Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute. She travels around the state of Indiana to meet with mayors, county officials, and their staff to learn about their successes and barriers to preparing for climate change. Webster works with the Institute’s faculty and staff to launch climate change preparedness resources for local governments. In 2018, she worked in partnership with the U.S. EPA to develop and launch the Environmental Resilience Institute Toolkit (ERIT), an online platform designed to help Midwestern local governments prepare for climate change. In 2019, she led the team that released the Hoosier Resilience Index, which helps local governments in Indiana evaluate their community's preparedness for climate risks, and identify and prioritize next step actions to increase readiness. Prior to joining the Institute, Webster worked for Louisville Metro Government’s Office of Sustainability, where she implemented projects in the City’s sustainability plan. She received a Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Environmental Studies at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
