Ziang Zhang is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Binghamton University since 2014. Before he joined Binghamton University, Dr. Zhang worked at ABB US Corporate Research Center at Raleigh, NC, USA. He is a member of the Smart Grid task force of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and a task force member on the Decision Support Tools for Energy Storage Investment and Operations of the IEEE Power and Energy Society. Dr. Zhang severs as an associated editor of the IEEE Access Journal and a reviewer for multiple energy-related IEEE journals. His current research includes power systems operation and control, grid-tie battery system modeling and renewable energy integration. Dr. Zhang received his B.S. degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, the M.S. degree from Purdue University Northwest, Hammond, IN, USA, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA, in 2013.
