Transforming University Engagement In Pre- and Post-Disaster Environments: Lessons from Puerto Rico
Dr. Wangjian Zhang is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University at Albany. He earned his PhD in Biostatistics from Sun Yat-sen University School of Public in China. His research interests include the assessment of air pollution, climate change, and extreme weather events on human health. More specifically, he utilizes mathematical and statistical models to identify vulnerable populations. Dr. Zhang’s recent work sought out to identify vulnerable populations in New York State during disasters including extreme weather events, through the use of sophisticated machine-learning methods with the aim of informing policies for tailored interventions.
