Impacts from disaster events touch every part of a community.  The economic risks and opportunities that resilience planning represents, coupled with community priorities, assets and vulnerabilities, sets the table for a rich discussion to inform the design of a new approach by local community leaders to increasingly intense and extreme weather events.  In short, what does a resilient community that is livable, secure and designed for anticipated, and unanticipated impacts from extreme weather events, look like and include?
